Q: What is the last day to register for the Las Vegas 5K?
A: Registration will close at 11:59 P.M. on May 10th 2012.
Q: What time should I arrive to Town Square on Race Day?
A: It's highly, highly, highly recommended that you arrive to Town Square at 7:00 A.M. The South Las Vegas Boulevard street closure will begin at 7:30 A.M. sharp. You will not be able to travel South or North on Las Vegas Boulevard from Russell Road to Sunset Road starting at 7:30 A.M. *Please notify your means of transportation about this street closure to allow for ample arrival time.
Q: What if I can't arrive to Town Square until after 7:30 A.M. on race day.
A: South Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed Southbound and Northbound from Sunset Road to Russell Road from 7:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. After 7:30 A.M., there will only be access to Town Square via Las Vegas Boulevard, south of Sunset Road. *Please notify your means of transportation about this street closure to allow for ample arrival time.
Q: When and where is Pre-Race Expo/packet pick-up?
A: Friday, May 11th from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Silverton Hotel and Casino inside the Veil Event Pavilion - 3333 Blue Diamond Road Las Vegas, NV 89139 -

Q: How do I find my bib #?
A: Visit the following link and correctly input your first and last name. Note: Your bib # may not be in the database yet. All bib #'s will be in the database by May 11th.

Q: Is it mandatory to attend the Pre-Race Expo?
A: It's not mandatory but is highly, highly, highly recommended and appreciated.
Q: What if I can't make it to the Pre-Race Expo/packet pick-up?
A: You can pick up your runners bib the day of the race at the check-in table. We recommend getting to the venue by 7:00 A.M. if you are picking up your runners bib the day of the race.
Q: What am I picking up at the Pre-Race Expo/packet pick-up?
A: Your event give-away and runners bib.
Q: Can I pick up somebody elses packet?
A: No. You must present a valid ID and can only pick up your own packet.
Q: Do I get a t-shirt for entering the race?
A: No. We give all 5K entrants a choice of an event give-away. However, you can purchase the Official LV5K Limited Edition race shirt at the Pre-Race Expo.
Q: Can I get my event give-away and bib the day of the race?
A: Yes, you can pick up your event give-away the day of the race at the Ryno Running tent.
Q: Will a gear check be provided on race day?
A: Yes. Note: You will have to sign a waiver releasing Ryno Running and the Las Vegas 5K of any liability for your personal belongings.
Q: How do I get my picture taken infront of the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign mid-race?
A: The "Welcome to Las Vegas Sign" is located at the halfway point on the Las Vegas 5K course. As you are running the race and approaching the sign, we ask that you begin merging to the right where the sign parking entrance is located. Enter the sign parking entrance and simply get in line for your picture opportunity. If you are serious about your finishing time or going for a personal best, we recommend that you pass on this photo opportunity.
Q: Do I have to take my picture infront of the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign?
A: No. This photo is optional.
Q: How will this race be timed?
A: The LV5K uses Chronotrack B-Tags. The B-Tags are located on the back of your bib. IMPORTANT: To ensure that you receive a finishing time, do NOT fold your bib in any direction.
Q: Are the cash prizes based on gun time or chip time?
A: Cash prize winners are based on gun time. Age division winners are based on chip time.
Q: Will there be merchandise for sale?
A: Yes, there are certain vendors that will be selling merchandise so don't forget to bring some cash if you are interested in purchasing products.
Q: How do I get to Town Square?

Q: Can I do practice runs on the course prior to the event?
A: No way Jose! The LV5K course requires a complete road closure and is not safe to run until the race takes place. You're more than welcome to do some positve visualization though.
Q: How do I access the LV5K Virtual Swag Bag?
A: Once you sign up for the race, you will receive an email confirmation that has the link and password to the Virtual Swag Bag. Please email us for the link and password If you do not have it.
Q: Are there corrals?
A: Yes. There are 3 corrals (in order)...the elite runner corral, the non-elite corral and the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign picture, takin corral.
Q: Are strollers allowed?
A: Yes. However, all participants with strollers will be directed to the back of the starting line for precautionary safety measures and as a courtesy to the elite runners.
Q: I purchased a package deal thru Groupon or Living Social. How do I get my LV5K shirt?
A: You must present a valid copy of your Groupon or Living Social voucher to a representative at the Ryno Running tent at either the Pre-Race Expo or Race Day Expo to redeem your race shirt.
